We've got the expertise, we just don't have the . . . what? Vision, political will, money, drive, organization? BHA design, based right here in river city, headed by landscape architect and planner Bruce Hendee, was chosen as the lead designer for Boulder's Valmont Bike Park. Yes we do have the talent and expertise here, and such a park is now mentioned in our Parks Policy Plan Update. If we are to "get ours" here, we need a groundswell of support from the community of cyclists, and many, many others who see the value. I hope Rick's notes are those of encouragement to those who have gotten us this far in 2-3 years, rather than criticism for not having accomplished as much as Boulder.
